Donna Wissinger, profesional flutist, artist, performer, educator, speaker

Donna Wissinger has been hailed as ‘a flutist of rare gifts’ by the New York Times. Her acclaimed solo recitals include the mainstages of Carnegie Hall and the renowned Glinka Capella as well as concert tours of Europe, the USA, and Asia. Donna attended the  Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria and was a favorite student of Jean-Pierre Rampal, Julius Baker and Samuel Baron.  What audiences love about Donna is her  beautiful sound and her obvious love for playing and music.  Her enthusiasm is contagious! Click below to learn more about Donna’s wonderful performances.
In Concert

As an educator, Donna Wissinger is the inaugural recipient of the Doris Leeper Award for Excellence in Arts Education. Among educator favorites are The World Turned Upside Down: Music of the American Revolution; Beowulf: A Tale of Courage and Honor; and The Pied Piper and other Fantastic Tales. A firm believer in life-long and interdisciplinary learning, Donna is a USPTA teaching professional, a Neuromuscular Massage Therapist, a marathon runner, and published poet and author. In addition to her concert and residency activities, Miss Wissinger is a noted keynote speaker. Keynotes include conferences for Starbucks, GE, the US Government, Pfizer, The Center for Excellence and many regional museum and arts conferences. Donna’s international keynotes include the 2002 Excellence in Government Conference in Washington, DC, the International Art and Business Conference Idriart in Slovenia in 2003, the IODA Conference in Guanajuato, Mexico 2005 and the Global Leadership Summit in Montreal 2007.
